چکیده
Zeolites are a very versatile class of materials that can display selective CO2 adsorption behavior and thus find applications in carbon capture, storage, utilization (CCSU). In this contribution, the properties zeolites as adsorbents reviewed by critically presenting discussing their assets limitations. For purpose, we first provide an overview mechanisms on different types zeolites. Then, systematically discuss relationship between physicochemical (framework type, Si/Al ratio, extra-framework cations) performance for separation CO2/CH4 (biogas) CO2/N2 (flue gas) mixtures. Based trends identified, comparison highlight advantages drawbacks applicability adsorption. Finally, present state art shaping macroscopic format, which is key step toward industrial adsorbents.

Surfactant Modified Zeolites –adsorbents for Mycotoxins and Carriers of Drugs
The potential of surfactant modified zeolites as adsorbents for mycotoxins and as carrier of the pharmaceutical drugs was investigated. Ochratoxin A OCHRA (mycotoxin) and diclofenac sodium DS (anti-inflamatory drug) were used as model substances. Surface of the clinoptilolite was modified with different amounts of quaternary ammonium ions (hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium HDTMA or octadecyldimethylb...
متن کاملTheoretical screening of zeolites for membrane separation of propylene/propane mixtures
In this paper, the performances of potential zeolite membranes were estimated by the Maxwell-Stefan model and then they were placed in Robeson plot of propylene/propane separation. Additionally, the effects of feed pressure and the mole fraction of propylene in the feed on both the propylene permeabilities and membrane permselectivities were investigated. The results showed that zeolite membran...
متن کاملMolecularly imprinted polymers as selective adsorbents for ambient plasma mass spectrometry
The application of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as molecular scavengers for ambient plasma ionization mass spectrometry has been reported for the first time. MIPs were synthesized using methacrylic acid as functional monomer; nicotine, propyphenazone, or methylparaben as templates; ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a cross-linker; and 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile as polymerization initi...
متن کاملApplication of Zeotype SAPO-34 Molecular Sieve as a Selective Adsorbent for Separation of Ethylene from Ethane
The process of ethylene production from ethane dehydrogenation is one of the interesting processes in the field of conversion the petroleum light gases to the valuable products. In this process, the outlet gaseous product is a combination of ethylene, ethane and hydrogen. Effective separation techniques are required for separation of ethylene from unreacted ethane. Here a new adsorbent approach...
